Flag Day

You have seen this picture before, but it is worth a second look, or even a third, as there are some folks in Santa Barbara, California who make a habit out of placing a flag at each cross in memory of  all of those lost in battles over the centuries.  Today is Flag Day, a good day to honor the banner that has flown over many a sight just like this. A banner to be proud of.    A banner that should be respected by all.
Along came an e-mail about mothers and babies and there were a few pictures I had not seen before.  I love the expressions and the great showing of love.
Wonder what this little one is saying to 'mom' . . . looks like she is telling a funny story.
A poke in the eye or a loving kiss, either way mom is patient and what an expression!
Who me?   Look at me!!

Ha, Ha,  I really got a chuckle out of this one.    We octogenarians can laugh out loud as we worked hard to lead a good clean life of moderation and now we find out, in our hindsight years, that we could have, should have had a few more wild times to look back on . . . come to think of it . . .it is never to late to put one foot in front of the other and see where it leads.

So today, make your seconds count and do something you have been wanting to do but have held back on because it may be fattening;   maybe expensive;  maybe selfish . . . well, be selfish once in awhile, it can't hurt your ego to be good to yourself every now and then.  It might even shorten your anxiety rate a percentage or two. . . go. . . do something special for you today, just because you can.    Hugs to all.
