Looking out the kitchen window there was a sight to see . . . a big beautiful rainbow that extended across our neighborhood. It stayed for a long time and the colors were vivid. There is nothing like a full rainbow to make you feel good. Well, for that matter even a half one does the same thing. So peek out your window today and see if there is a rainbow in your sky.
This bush is in my back yard and I planted it myself, so I can be successful now and then. It is called "Wall flower" and it is getting bushier by the day. Maybe I was successful because I planted it right by the gate as you enter the back garden. It really belongs out there in the back garden where it can spread and grow.
Here is a picture of my tea tree. It has three 'legs' to it and I am wondering just how big it will grow. As you see it is right in front of the garage window where my son John loves to sit and look out into the yard. He has already cut back the rhody which is hidden behind the tea tree so it will be interesting to see how he will trim this down to a size that will allow him a view. Friend Jo gave me those wind chimes which have a lovely sound.
I had a delicious enchilada dinner with my two daughters last evening. Pat felt like putting them together, then abandoned her kitchen to Chris and me to serve it up. We had a different salsa which was tangy and had pineapple, red sweet peppers and a few other ingredients to go with our 'black' crackers. A glass of wine, good company and delicious food, yeah . . . I could get used to that.
So today, Thursday all day, look around and find some beauty. Pick a rose or two out of your garden and put it in a small vase and put it where you can enjoy its beauty. Pat has a huge rose with a white center and deep red edges all around. It is gorgeous. My petals remain in the dish but today they go. I will have to go and find something to fill a vase, maybe a few of the 'rose of sharon' which is really coming alive. I will take a picture of it to show you. There was something on "Simple Truths" this morning about placing ourselves on 'hold' and it was well done, food for thought, and the words reminded us that it all starts with each one of us. So if you are on 'hold' loosen the grip and get busy making your seconds count. Hugs to all.
