New Day - Sunday

Good morning.    How's that for a cartoon?    Our economy and the gas prices and the endless 'words' of the politicians in what they are doing to make things right again.   If I didn't get a news letter from one of my Representatives, I would never know he was earning his keep up over there in Washington, D. C.   He tells me he is working hard but last I knew he was on a jaunt to China with a few of the other cronies and they were not working hard, but hardly working.  Ah, voting time does come around again.
Here she is, Lady Emma, with the soul filled eyes.   She had a trip to the beauty salon yesterday after her run in the wilds and rolling in the 'do' or is it 'scat' that has an order that will never be bottled, even for dogs. . .she swam in the river but it did not good, so off she went and had a shampoo and a checkup and she came out smelling almost as good as the roses in the gardens.    She greeted us like she had been gone forever and so mistreated . . . yeah!!  We should all be so lucky.

They were back again . . . well, of course they were, they come out every night and make their way from Mill Beach where they reside and cross over the main street, turn into our lane and chomp their way up to the big lot where the huge trees are.  They find their food for the day and it must agree with them as they are all looking very healthy. The one that was crippled seems to have disappeared.  I hope for its sake it was turned over to the animal shelter as its back leg must have been broken badly.  It could hardly walk and it was such a sad sight to see.   They are beautiful animals . . . talk about soul filled eyes . . . doe eyes . . . beautiful and bright.

So today, it is your last day of your weekend to do as you please.   Maybe settle in with a good book like Sydney Shelton's  "Are you afraid of the dark?"   A page turner and can be read in a day and a half without interruption.     Use your seconds to suit yourself and enjoy your Sunday.     If you go to church, light a candle as the needs are many and say a prayer for me too, I can always use one.    Invite a friend for dinner.   I made a meatloaf yesterday but not the regular size, more like elongated meat balls and they turned out to be very tasty.  That chard I bought at the market on the wharf was delicious.  What a difference in home grown vegetables.    Erin will be happy to know that her birthday chocolate covered strawberries do freeze well and the ladies enjoyed them for desert.    All gone . . . guess I'll have to have another birthday . . . well, wouldn't you if you were gifted huge strawberries covered in white, brown and multicolored chocolate. . . of course you would and I would be happy to have an invitation to help you eat them.    Have some fun today, eat well, and do exercise as painful as that is.   Hugs to all.
