Good morning. A sad day for America as the bodies of the seals, killed in a helicopter crash, are brought back to their families and to us. I wonder why the seals were used to fight on land when they are rigorously trained for water. I suppose we will be told that they are used when and where needed but it seems very strange, odd that after seals were used to take down Ben Laden an entire platoon was put into a helicopter and shot down yesterday. There is so much more going on that we will ever know about and truth will out eventually but not in our time.
The global finances are on the news today as the markets react to the downgrading of our credit rating. The blame game goes on and the Congress are off for a month, gee, do you think they are tired after their days of one up-man-ship? Must have worn them to a frazzle. I wonder how many will have town hall meetings to hear what their constituents have to say? Not many.
The threats remain as we are told higher everything . . . well someone has to pay for their mistakes. The loop holes need to go. The big corporations and the million dollar, or is it billion dollars now?, retirement packages need to be stopped. How much money can one person use in a lifetime? We'll never know as we never are left with enough to save anything. I still wonder why the grocers get away with daily raises in the foods we have to have to survive. Speaking of that brings us to the lives of those in Somalia where refugees are dying by the thousands . . . not right . . . many with more than they can spend and many with so little they can only die. Then if we were to have a conversation about the children in American in our system . . . let's not go there as it makes my blood pressure rise. What is wrong with all of us? How can we be oblivious to what is going on in our world and why it has gotten tot he point it has. Are we so complacent that we let someone else do what we should be doing. I guess. The Tea Party folks are being blamed for the debacle that has just taken place. The Tea Party folks did exactly what they were suppose to do and that is to make the 'good old boys' stand up and be counted. They wanted business as usual and it didn't work. Let us hope and pray that calm and strong heads will come to the fore and really work at solutions for the problems that exist and that includes each one of us.
So today, I am on my soap box, sorry about that, but I got to thinking and one thought leads to another and all those young men coming home wrapped in a flag does nothing for my soul. My heart hurts for the families. Light a candle for all of them and say a prayer for all of us too as we need every prayer we can get. We seemed to have lost our way and maybe, just maybe, lighting a candle will give us enough light to find it again. I don't want to leave you angry or depressed, just know that you have to have Faith and you have to bring yourself up and out of much and mire . . . you have to pay attention and do what is right and just and even 'fair', the word that no one believes in. Charity begins at home, then spreads . . . so help with the spreading and do what you can to make today the best day ever. Go with God! Hugs to all.
