Words from the Experts

Good Monday morning.   I thought you might like to start your new week off with a laugh.   The e-mail came in over the weekend and I got a chuckle or two out of them.  There were more but not enough room for all.  When you have a question you want answered you go to the experts and in the case of 'sex' these are the experts . . . smile!  You know you did, now keep it for the rest of the day.

The start of a new week, wonder what is in store for us.    Weather wise it has stayed pretty much overcast and cool, not complaining as it is great weather for the outdoor chores.    I managed another big black bag of clippings and still have more to go.    Bob and Andrea did a great job but were not here long enough to get the entire yard done.   Um . . . wonder if they might swing by on the way back to Arizona . . . I can ask!

Son John wrote saying that the weather didn't cooperate on the trip down to Denali park where he hoped to get a glimpse of all of those wild animals.   The weather has been at odds at every try to see some of the highlights in Alaska.   He will be there for awhile longer so he will get those pictures for us yet.

As for son, Michael, the weather is fine but the blasting to the rocks at the foundation sight for the new home that was to be framed in the good weather is taking a lot longer than expected.    If they don't get it done soon the weather at Lake Tahoe will be back to early snows.    Say a special prayer for the construction workers who are having such a bad time trying to survive while they wait for all the promised jobs.

My girls are fine, granddaughter Erin won a rafting trip so I am waiting to hear about that and have hopes of some pictures.   As for me, I had a quiet weekend and finished up a Patterson book which gave me chair time and a mystery to solve.    I walked over to Fred Meyers because I had 'nothing good' in the house.  food yes, but deserts no . . . and you cannot enjoy a cup of tea without something to go with it.   I found some ice cream and some cones, some lox to go with my bagel and had help from one of the clerks to find the little bottle of capers which was so illusive.   It was where it should be and I was looking at it but didn't see it.    The clerk went right to it and handed it to me, so much for knowing what a caper was....smile!    As I came home and reached my doorstep, my neighbor Pam came over with a chocolate cake.  It seems she was having nineteen of her family members there to celebrate her birthday and got three cakes.  She wanted to share one and I was the chosen neighbor of the day.   The cake is all chocolate, dark, deep and rich with coconut and real chocolate candy icing with at least a thousand calories per bite. I had my sweets....oh my I had my sweets.  I am sharing the goodies today.

So today, it will be okay for you to share some of those goodies you have stored away in the refrigerator or in the cookie jar.     Invite a friend or two in and put on the kettle for a cup of tea.    Enjoy the conversation and the company.   Make all of your seconds count as you go about your business of the day.   Don't forget to smile.  Hugs to all.
