And The Name Is . . .

Good morning.  It is time for a smile or two as we check out the pictures of boats with names you would not call a boat of your own.   Where do these folks get the names, how do they think them up?   Well these folks have a sense of humor.   I wouldn't be surprised that you could think up a funny name for a boat.    I am surprised the owner of the one boat, " Amy's Wine House" didn't name it "Amy's Whine House" . . . he wouldn't dare.   Here, at the Port, the names of the boats are women's names mostly, but none as clever as the ones shown above.   I'll have to check the boats out next time I go down to the basin where they are berthed and check out some of the names.

We had eighty three degrees yesterday and a promise of another hot day today.   I took Marcia out for an early birthday lunch and we rode over to the Casino to find pea soup fog.   It reminded me of New England fog when you couldn't see your hand in front of your face, or the road in front of you.    It didn't take long to lift and left a calm ocean for the boats to go out with the fishermen.

The Lucky Seven Casino has grown from a small one room casino into a huge three room casino and they have just finished a convention hall which will be put to good use.   They added thier own gas station last year and now have plans for a hotel so it seems the economy has not hit the gaming business as yet.   They had a dozen new penny machines, all entertaining, all ready to take your 'pennies' meaning you have to put dollar bills in the slot and the first key is probably forty cents and goes up from there.     They enlarged the dining area and did a good job of it, but, there goes that word again, they didn't think about the distance between the dining areas and the kitchen.   They have it spread out so much that it takes twice as long for the food, now brought in on carts and the dishes covered with a silver dome, and it takes much longer to be waited on even if there is only a few customers.   We had a lot of fun playing the new machines and came home with our own money plus a little bit of theirs . . . well, if you want to count other visits, we were just getting a tiny bit back . . .smile.

So today, Wednesday, hump day as it is called, prioritize your priorities and get on with all of your projects and finish them up.    I should talk, my projects await some hands on and I sit here thinking about it but not doing anything about them.   Well first things first and that is coffee and breakfast.   With the price of coffee I am thinking of giving it up or cutting way back.   They now have coffee bag, like tea bags, but not in the familiar brands as yet, or at least Freddys didn't have anything but a rogue brand.     For those of you not feeling up to par, be patient with yourselves, it takes time to heal and feel good again.   Make your seconds count and have a little fun along the way, it is good for you.   Hugs to all
