Timed photographs

I received an e-mail yesterday with perfectly timed photographs.    I like the birds that create a smile, you know you have to mimic it and smile yourself.    How about the bird with the jet stream, laughable, as you can imagine the bird wondered what he had for lunch.?  I bet that glider got a big charge out of seeing that picture., and probably wished he had landed on the earth.    There have been many pictures like these coming through.and it takes a great photographer to get the shot just right.    Timing is what it is all about.  I must remember to take my camera for a walk and look around and see if I can find anything I can perfectly time . . .


Did you get to see fireworks?    I went over to Pat's house  to enjoy a cook out, and stayed the night just to keep her company and at ten o'clock when it finally got dark we heard the noise of the fireworks which was so loud one would think they were being shot off at the end of the street.   Well, almost as the river's edge is not too far from the bottom of her street.    We could stand by the open door and see them, and they were well worth it as the colors burst into the sky which brings about a bit of pride in our country's birthday.  We didn't stay at the door long as  we had an interesting DVD on about the aftermath in New Orleans after Katrina and enjoyed the mardi -gras music and costumes of people who refuse to be down and out.  Down they may be, but out, never.   .    We did turn the TV on later to see how things were going in Washington, D., C. where they have a wonderful display of fireworks every year.    This year they had some celebrities on, not my cup of tea, so I turned it off and watched the local shows.   This morning the news had pictures of the local parades and the one in Ashland looks like it was a winner.    One more holiday over, now to get on with summer and vacations.     I am having August company and that will be fun.    I love my company as they can't sit still and want to do something to keep themselves busy, especially Bob who is the champion workaholic in the whole world.   He loves to be busy.   I have a honey do list that will send smiles to his face, but I also have a list of places to go and things to do that will keep him busier than he thinks and my honey do list may never get done.  


So today, rest up after work.  Yeah, I know you had to go to work today and that must have been hard after a three day holiday.     It gets better as you are one day closer to retirement . . . and then you will find you are busier than your work a day time and you will be able to clear your honey-do list up before you take off for all the sights and sounds you have been waiting years to visit.     Don't take your flag down too soon as it is a reminder that we are Americans and we are '"Governments are instituted amount Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,  ____That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
